About the Works
Initially, my aim was to research the evolution of the language of color and form of the 20th century colorists.
My acquired knowledge of color, form and space was not enough to depict associative elements (human elements, etc.) in uncompromising unity with musical elements.
Color and form must work strictly together. One cannot exist without the other because of the musical integrity of the painting.
In the early days I worked with few colors to study the effects of adjacent color forms.
(Each color form needs a certain space (as we all do) to reach the maximum limits of its breathing).
Any color shape, spot, dot, line, even the lines of the bordering picture frames, affect the maximum breathing space of any other element in the painting. This effect becomes less powerful as the distance between the color forms increases.
Together they have a rhythm that creates a sense of space extending beyond the frame.
The domination of this space is a prerequisite for the creation of a musical composition.
The biggest challenge for me is to create the musical unity of the painting and the inseparability of the consciously perceived elements.
Looking at a painting, our eyes automatically look for familiar formations (symmetry, two eyes, lines, etc.).
Such visual effects can limit or even destroy the 'breathing' capacity of the color forms and the musical rhythm of the painting.
One way that has crystallised for me over time to solve this problem is the non-narrative arrangement of elements.
A painting is constructed simultaneously from a wide variety of elements to the expressive aggregate effect of the rhythmic interplay of colour forms. This particularly careful construction, however expressive, avoids undesirable optical effects.
I am currently working on a musical language of colors and shapes that express emotional relationships, without the restrictive bounderies of picture frames, in three dimensions. I'am inspired by the possibility of trying to express nuanced emotions by controlling the conscious elements that disturb the musical harmony of an image. The three dimensions, reminiscent of the empty spaces between musical notes, are an exciting challenge.

Some pigments and collected minerals to make my paints.
